Inauguration of ONGC-Nandasan surface facility developed at a cost of ₹ 336 crore

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Gujarat from 9 to 11 October, 2022. During this visit, he will dedicate and lay foundation stone of various developmental works worth more than ₹2890 crore at Mehsana on October 9.

The Government of Gujarat, under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, has undertaken various welfare and developmental initiatives to carry the growth story ahead.

PM will dedicate a 53.43 km long Sabarmati-Jagudan gauge conversion, which is developed at a cost of ₹511 crore. It is a part of 68.78 km long Ahmedabad-Mehsana gauge conversion project. The ONGC-Nandasan surface facility developed at a cost of ₹ 336 crore will also be dedicated by the PM. Other developmental works include the M S Pipeline project, Modhera solar village, Dharoi Dam based Vadnagar-Kheralu and Dharoi Group reform scheme, Bechraji-Modhera-Chanasma Road, Unja-Dasaj-Upera-Ladol road expansion work and regional training center (SPIPA) at Mehsana, light and sound show at Modhera worth ₹ 1145.64 crore.

The PM will also lay foundation stone of 4 lane up gradation of Patan to Gozaria road on NH-68 and PS highway works to be developed at a cost of ₹ 1229.17 crore. Other works include milk powder plant worth ₹ 327 crore, tetra pack plant worth ₹ 209.84 crore and water treatment plant works to be developed at a cost of ₹ 106 crore. PM will also lay foundation of bridges on Visnagar-Umta-Sundhiya-Kheralu road worth more than ₹ 1747.38 crore.

Project Name:  24X7 power through Solar energy and set up of 15 MWh battery Energy storage system

Government of India and Government of Gujarat have formulated the project of Solarisation of Modhera Sun Temple and Town to provide round the clock (24 x 7) solar energy through Solar Power integrated with Battery Energy Storage System set up at Village Sujjanpura.

Modhera village is now energized by never-before-experienced energy of the sun by converting solar energy into power. The entire village of Modhera is now free from the burden of conventional coal-based electricity and thus uses solar energy.

In brief, the project has the following components:

The cost of the entire project is Rs. 80.66 crores, which is funded by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat on a 50:50 sharing basis.

Project Name: Sabarmati – Jagudan Gauge Converted Line

Project Name: Nandasan Surface Facility Project

Department: Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas

The project will facilitate enhancement of 0.735 MMT oil production and 0.195 BCM of gas production in the area (24 Acres) of Kaiyal village of Kadi Taluka with a project cost of Rs. 335 crore. This complex process will separate oil, gas and water from the well fluid.

The separated gas will be processed at Gas dehydration unit and Gas sweetening unit to achieve the PNGRB guidelines. The treated gas will be compressed and will be used as Lift gas for enhancing the crude oil production from wells.

The separated water will be treated in a state of the art Produced water treatment plant, Water Injection for reservoir pressure maintenance and for Effluent disposal purposes as per statutory guidelines. The treated water will also be utilized for Polymer solution preparation for Enhanced Oil Recovery schemes.

The plant has Integrated Operation System consisting of Production Management System and Integrated Control and Safety System.

Project Name:  Kherva- Visnagar Pipe line Yojna

Department: Narmada & Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpsar

Government has approved for installation of 19.82 -kilometer-long MS-pipeline having 1500 mm diameter and 10mm thick from Kherva Sujalam Suflam Canal to Shingoda Lake (in Visnagar) for the purpose of

The total cost of this project Rs 108.19 crore.

Under this project, a pumping station has been constructed at Kherva sujlam Suflam Canal, 3 working pumps and 1 standby pump with a capacity of 3400 cubic meters per hour and 100 cusecs of water has been pumped to Visnagar shingoda lake.

Under this scheme, 28 nos. of ponds of 15 villages will be filled and directly-indirectly, 2000 hectares of land will be benefitted for irrigation and raising of ground water level.

Project Name: Dharoi Dam Based Vadnagar Group, Kheralu Group and Dharoi Group Reform Scheme.

Department: Gujarat Water Supply & Sewerage Board

Reform project of Vadnagar, Kheralu and Dharoi Groups based on Dharoi Dam, Vadnagar and Kheralu Taluka, District Mehsana, Rs. 39.83 Crores which will benefit the total population: – 529389. Under this Scheme including (1) New Sub Headworks (2) Elevated Tank (3) Underground pump have been constructed.

Dharoi Group Scheme was implemented in the year 2000 as per norm of 60 litres. As per the existing norms, 100/140 liters/capita/day of water should be provided in rural/urban areas of Vadnagar and Kheralu talukas, while the outlying villages could not be provided with water due to technical reasons so there was a need of a reformation plan for those villages. The Reformation has been completed & Water supply is being provided to the beneficiary population.

Project Name: Becharaji-Modhera-Chanasma Highway Expansion

This is the project in which Becharaji-Modhera-Chanasma (State Highway No.7 from Km. 50/000 to 61/300) road has been widened from existing 10-meter wide to 4 lanes.

This road is connecting the important religious places of Becharaji as well as Becharaji industrial park. It also connects Ahmedabad-Patan highway. The cost of the project is Rs. 26.5 crores. It will facilitate transportation as well as pilgrims of Becharaji.

Project Name:  Construction of new Regional Training Center (SPIPA) at Mehsana

The establishment of this organization (SPIPA) in 1962 with the objective of training to government officers/employees.

As part of the State Government’s progressive policy, a new fully air-conditioned building with state-of-the-art facilities has been constructed at Mehsana at a cost of Rs. 23.5 crores, equipped with Wi-Fi facilities in the campus in which approximately 500 students can get training together. Apart from this, it has advanced facilities of library, reading room, newspaper room and e-library.

The newly constructed Regional Training Centre at Mehsana will emerge as a centre of excellence for the students seeking training for UPSC, GPSC and Staff Selection Board, CGPS of North Gujarat to shape their future.

Project Name: Unjha-Dasaj-Upera-Ladol Road expansion work

In this project Unjha-Dasaj-Upera-Ladol (Bhankhar Approach Road) KM 0/00 to 15/500) has been widened by 10 meter at project cost of Rs. 22 crores. This road is important for various villages of Vadnagar Taluka as well as nearby villages like Sundhia, Jaska & Upera. This road is connecting Asia’s largest APMC at Unjha with Vadnagar. It will facilitate movement and saving of time as well as traffic congestion.

Project Name: Patan to Gojariya 4 Lane Upgradation

Department: National Highway Authority of India

Upgradation to 4 lanes from Patan (Near Khan Sarovar Lake) to Gozaria under Bharatmala Project (Total 76.940 km) under EPC mode.

(a) Proposed Patan Gozaria section of National Highway No.-68.- about 76.940 km length is being constructed under Bharatmala projects. Various tourist spots like Rani Ki Vav, Patola House, Modhera Surya Mandir to Jamnagar, Kandla and Mundra Port as well as various parts shall be connected at national level through this project of the government.

(b) It starts from Khan Sarovar lake in Patan passing through Mehsana and joins Vadodara-Mumbai 8-lane from Gandhinagar which will create an economic corridor and boost social and economic development, along with the development of the state the tourist destinations of Patan area will get Ahmedabad-Vadodara-Mumbai connectivity.

This project has a time limit of 2 years (730 days). The total cost of the project is Rs 1181.34 crore.

Project Name: Milk Powder Project

In the current situation, milk has become a priority of daily requirement among people life needs. Dudhsagar Dairy Mehsana is known as India’s leading milk producing dairy. At present Dudhsagar Dairy has old milk powder plants (04 nos.), which are approx. 50 years old and powder plant building is very weak and in bad condition.

The establishment of new automated powder plant will help to improve plant performance, reduce production cost, reduce product loss, operational safety control and produce different types of good quality milk powder.

The new automated milk powder plant will be used to manufacture 120 MTPD Dairy Whitener, Baby Food Milk Powder / 100 MTPD Skimmed Milk Powder using latest technology.

The new milk powder plant will be completed within 24 months at a cost of Rs 300 crore.

Project Name: Redevelopment & Reconstruction of Mehsana Civil Hospital

The redevelopment and reconstruction of General Hospital Mehsana is being constructed looking to present and future demand of medical services. The existing hospital was constructed in 1962 and it is in deteriorate condition. The redeveloping hospital structure compressing basement + Ground + 7 floor with 44920 sq.mt. at the cost of Rs. 171.00 crores.

This new hospital is design as per NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospital and Healthcare Providers) and LaQshya (Labour room Quality improvement initiative) guideline to provide ease of patients, Doctors and Para Medical Staff with modern and advance medical equipment such as MOT, CT Scan, X-ray etc.

The hospital will provide total 320 Bed including 50 ICU beds. The State of Art Hospital with OPD (Orthopedic, Surgeon, General Medicine, Pediatric, Medicine). Hospital will provide various types of ICUs and beds also for the surgery Modular Operation Theater. Also the hospital will be equipped with services like Medical Gas Pipeline Services (MGPS), Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), Trauma Centre, Casualty Ward, Radiology, Labour O.T., Labour ward, PICU (13 beds), NICU (Septic-9 beds, Nonseptic-11 beds), Pharmacy & Store and Pradhanmantri Aushadhi & Store. Hospital provides other flow less services i.e Fire Safety (as per NBC guideline), Extra Low Voltage (ELV), Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) etc. including, all utility with Building Management Services.

The hospital will serve medical services approximately 22 lakhs population in Mehsana district and surrounding district.

Project Name: UHT Milk Carton milk plant project

A new project is being implemented by Dudhsagar Dairy as part of the necessary operations to meet the increased needs of frequent milk consumers, which necessitates the setting up of one more new UHT (Ultra High Temperature) milk carton milk plant.

1) Presently in Mehsana Union, there is no facility of packing UHT milk in cartons.

2) In view of the growth in procurement in the coming years, surplus volume of milk will be converted into long life milk products. Dudhsagar Dairy Brick Pack will be beneficial to cater to the growing market of UHT milk and provide some balance to handle the increase in milk procurement during the coming years through conversion of milk production.

5) Proposed construction of 200 ml and 1000 ml UHT carton milk packaging line facility at Mehsana Union will be completed within 12 months at an estimated cost of Rs.150 crores.

Project Name: North Kadi produced water treatment plan

State-of-the-art produced water treatment plant installed on 6 acres of land at Chalasan village of Jotana taluka of Mehsana district at a cost of Rs.143 crores which will have wash tanks, corrugated plate interceptors, induced gas flotation units, dual media filters, ultra-filtration system, slop oil and sludge handling system, treated water tanks and includes features such as pumping systems using program logic control systems.

Treated produced water will be utilized for water injection for maintenance of reservoir pressure and for dewatering purposes as per statutory guidelines.

The treated water will also be used to prepare polymer solutions for enhanced oil recovery schemes.
